“Come join The Wellington Wailers, in Concert with support from our friends ‘Celtic Country’ and ‘Months Advance’. Join Shoreham by Sea’s sea shanty crew, as they relax in one of their favourite haunts. The Wailers will be at their nautical and amusing best, singing shanties and songs of the sea, led by the mercurial Mike Green.

The Wailers will be recreating those bygone days of sail, where only the muscles of the sailors aboard were available to hoist the sails and man the capstan and the pumps. It was hard work, where a good song, led by the shantyman, ‘ …was worth ten men on a rope.’
